Calgary hires a heavy hitter

JF had to leave us due to time constraints.  Don't worry, Dad is still with us in Buffalo...

I am excited to introduce SlackJack as our new GM in Calgary!  I've been playing in BackYard for a couple seasons now and Jack has been the lifeblood of that league since I've been around.  Always wheeling and dealing trying to improve his squad.  He impressed me with his pragmatic trade offers.  I can't recall if we've come together on anything, but the back and forth has been fun.  Anyway, Jack is the #1 team in BY now, and is coming off a championship there last season (the first to win one over Tony...).  For the first time ever, I actually courted someone to fill a vacancy as I want to see a successful retread in Calgary. 

So, please join me in welcoming SlackJack to the league!  Best of luck to you. 

Cally - meet your future rival in the Canada division - haha.

We're gonna have a hell of a bidding war for top free agents between Calgary and Vegas the way Slack has been cleaning cap space! Should be interesting, haha

  • Braves155: The problem with the minors is not the system as a whole, it is some Farm Systems are more 'elite' at being able to produce talent than others. If you look across MLB teams you can pretty easily tell the great systems from the weaker systems and talent development
