Title: Mets are available
Post by: Corey on May 05, 2013, 12:19:21 PM
I will step away from the league. This recent discussion of rewarding a GM who has done nothing and been inactive 3 times over Rick or Jeff is hilarious and takes away the fun of the league.

The league needs new blood so this will only help.

I would like to throw my name in for Corey's team if he does leave. I hope he doesnt, but I would like to be in for this position.

I hate to hear that you are leaving corey. I would like to throw my name in the hat for the Mets. I hate leaving my really nice Rockies team that is making alot of noise in the league but my love for the Mets is to much not to try and get them.

Well since you have seniority over me lol. I would like the Rockies then. Return to the team that I started with

I think you should stay Corey. Something else needs to be done instead of you leaving.

Can we just do this in Thunderdome?

No desire to stay. Plus if I complain some more, I might get the Athletics and the Brewers and have 2 teams.

The direction the league has just set forth, that doing nothing with a team and being inactive for over 30 days 3 different times and behavioral warnings for absolutely terrible behavior. I believe a temporary ban was even issued  Warrants you a promotion, really? I spend a great deal of time on ProFSL and love every minute of it. I love it because I spend my time helping others find leagues and playing in great leagues. I have no desire to play in leagues that warrant the situation that is happening now. To me its not worth my time...

The Mets are definitely open.

Then perhaps we need to look at adding language to the rules that 1) label a move to another team as a promotion.  When Jake (I believe it was him) left a good Angels team to rebuild the Nats, was that a promotion?  and 2) put in the rules language that better illustrates what should and should not go into internal franchise movement among GMs.  As it currently reads, the ONLY thing that is LISTED IN THE RULES is internal members get first shot.  Says nothing about previous track record or likeability of GM.  A league is only as strong as the integrity of its members and the strength/adherence to its rules.  The story would be different if it weren't put into writing via executive order.

I agree the league needs some fresh blood and welcome the previous dialogue as well as the changing landscape.  Time will tell if the league is strong enough to withstand such turnover.   :toth:

The RC needs to put new policy into place about GM hiring ASAP.

Like Eric, I'll also throw my name into the hat for the Rockies, Mets, Nationals, or whatever team needs a GM.
