After the initial discussion on the matter, there was enough support to generate a referendum as outlined in our by-laws.
“8.) Any GM in the league may propose a general referendum to be considered by the entire league if at least eight (8) member co-sponsor the referendum. A referendum must receive at least 16 votes to be implemented—this would be a simple majority of 15 + 1.”
As GMs, Rick (BHows) and I, are proposing a referendum to change our pitching limits rule to a flat 70 IP per week and keep the same penalties for violations there of.
I am sending out a league wide PM to ask each GM to cast their vote. Given the sporadic activity level of some members , the poll will remain open until the end of Free Agency on August 18th. The referendum must receive at least 16 votes to pass, so this time frame will give everyone ample time to cast their vote. If it passes, it will be incorporated into our bylaws for the 2020 season and beyond.
