2019-20 Deadlines

Hey everyone,

I've updated the deadlines for this upcoming season; I've updated them in the Handbook of Rules and linked them above. Here are some important dates for the near future:

  • Trading Opens - August 27th, 2019 @ 5:00pm
  • Waivers Open - August 27th, 2019 @ 5:00pm
  • Entry Draft (2019) - September 5th, 2019 @ 12:00pm
  • Offseason Free Agency Begins - September 5th, 2019 @ 12:00pm
  • Season Begins - October, 2nd, 2019
  • Off-Season Free Agency Ends - October, 4th, 2019 @ 12:00am
  • Waiver Free Period Begins - October, 4th, 2019 @ 12:00am
  • IR Opens - October 11th, 2019 @ 12:00am
  • Free Agency Opens - October 11th, 2019 @ 12:00am
  • Waiver Free Period Ends - October 12th, 2019 @12:00am

Too bad these guys couldn't make the big time.

Zach Hyman, $2.3m (2017-2020)
Semyon Varlamov, $7.3m (2018-2022)
C - Michael McLeod (2016: 1/12 - 21 Games)
Round 2 - 2019  (from :CLG:*)

To Red Wings:
Ryan Johansen, $6.4m (2016-2020) $4.0m (2019-2022)
Robin Lehner, $5.8m (2015-2019) $7.4m (2019-2023)

The Islanders posted extensions for these two players, so I hope it is alright that I included them in this post PPG.

Detroit makes this deal to lower our average goalie age by a tiny bit. Lehner may split starts with Crawford or he may be the #1 this year, but I expect him to the the #1 goalie in Chicago for the length of his contact. Trading Hyman for Johansen helps diversify my roster a little bit as I already have Marner. We think this deal is good for both clubs. Thanks Johnny for the talks, it was a pleasure as always.  :toast:

  • Daddy: Honestly i love the deal because my GMs love it. I dont say good deal bad deal or i like this side better.  My goal is to provide a fair platform where people are free to trade and not be judged because nobody knows for sure how these trades will play out. Lots of ACLs are gonna tear between now and new years.  Im always happy that two strangers with different backgrounds can meet in our league and enjoy freedom to be themselves and do what THEY THINK is best. I love every deal. (Had to share that @Braves) :toast:
