Minnesota Twins History :MIN:

2021: 1st in AL Central (105-57)
The :MIN2: had a magical run in 2021.  Overcoming all the odds and advancing to the World Series by defeating the :TB: rather handily in the ALDS.  Then in the ALCS, on the last day, with the last possible batter, :MIN2: edged the American League?s #1 Seed :LAA: by 9.9 points.  Anthony has done a fine job rebuilding the :MIN2: and has a young team that will only get better in the future.

2020: 5th in Central Division (32-28)

2019: 2nd in AL Central (67-95)

2018: 4th in AL Central (50-112)
Anthony

2017: 5th in AL Central (34-128)
Anthony

2016: 4th in AL Central (74-83)
Anthony

2015: 1st in AL Central (50-40)
Matt

The A's flexed their muscles with a convincing win over the #3 Twins in Divisional play.

2014: 1st in AL Central (87-54)
Andy lose ALDS To Yankees 15-6

2013: 3rd in AL Central (59-82)
Cody

2012: 4th in AL Central (50-110)

Cody

2011: 5th in AL Central (75-87)
The Twins were a surprise seller in 2011.  They were leading the AL Central headed into June and decided to take advantage of an exciting trade market and sell.  The Twins didn't put themselves in a great cap situation in 2012 and held on to veteran contributors like Uggla, Soto, Morneau, and Wainwright, but the team did acquire a lot of young talent.  This could make their 2012 ceiling even higher and set the team up for future years.

2010: 4th in AL Central (73-89)
Few changes were made to the team.  Alex Rios and some prospects were brought in, and the team looked to rebuild the infield through free agency.  However, he fell asleep at the wheel a bit with the infield free agents and prospects which eventually led to Danny's replacement.  Mark made a couple free agent moves and some trades that sent local favorites Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau to playoff teams.  The Twins played well below expectations in 2010.

2009: AL Central Champs (81-81)
The Twins made the playoffs on the last day just like the real life team did, but in fantasy baseball it was over the Indians rather than the Tigers.

  • Daddy: Usually taking over a team is inheriting someones mess which is why it was open. In startup leagues that isnt an issue.
