So my autopick selected for me was actually invalid, and even though i asked to be taken off of autopick before this was even caught by another member,  I still wasnt allowed to pick? And was autopicked again? I understand pms are a courtesy, but the rockies picked at 10 est, i was already in bed. I thought maybe i would be skipped not put on autopick just 30 minutes or so after my time expired

Not exactly how it transpired:
Your clock ran out and you failed to supply anyone with a proxy pick. Aside from at least two PMs that I sent out IMPLORING everyone to PLEASE send picks to EC members the rules are clear:
D.) How Draft Will Be Conducted

    1.)  If a team is not present for the draft / times out, and did not provide a proxy pick, they'll be awarded the next highest ranked signed player, and then placed on auto-draft.
    2.) The players ranking list is of the same order of Baseball America followed by the actual draft order.
    3.) Entry Draft eligible players will consist of players who have been drafted and signed in the real life MLB Entry Draft.
    4.) The Franchise GM Entry Draft will last 10 rounds, but teams are not required to make picks if they do not wish to make room on either their 40 man or MiLB rosters.
    5.) Only players drafted and signed in the MLB Entry Draft will be eligible for the Franchise GM Entry Draft - foreign players and unprotected prospects will be handled via free agency (however foreign players may warrant consideration for an additional rule)
    6.)  The 60-day no trade ruling is extended to include draftees.
The problem is that, while unknown to most of us, the original player selected for you was ineligible. After that was brought to our attention the original player was stricken and you were awarded the correct player: The next available, eligible player.
