Garrett Mitchell OF MIL P-2026
Gordon Graceffo P STL prospect

Padres trade:

Michael King SP/RP SD P-2024

Nationals approve.  I was trying to find an inexpensive SP during free agency but that didn't work so acquiring King via trade works well for me.  I hate to lose Mitchell but I like King's upside as a SP and his floor as a great RP.  Good luck @dbreer23 !

I've had King on the block for some time, wanting to exchange him for help in another area of need. This deal fits the bill to a "T" - Mitchell immediately plugs into my revamped starting lineup, and Graceffo provides another arm in the pipeline for the next few years. Both also provide additional cheap controllability, which is important to me.
