The Blues almost scored as many points by themselves as the previous highest scoring combined Finals score.  They didn't just have a great finals they had perhaps the most extraordinary finals this league will ever see.  Setting records for most everything.

most points scored throughout the playoffs 1001.2 - (815).

and maybe most importantly to Shooter he goes from having the biggest blowout loss in Finals history to owning the biggest blowout  539.2 vs 300.05 (Red Wings 363.50 vs Blues 268.70)

Also, the Blues put up 4879.25 points for the regular season and playoffs combined.  This is the top score ever, beating out Anaheim's 14/15 score of 4666.75.

I think we can safely say that the 2016/17 St Louis Blues are the greatest team in DNHL history. 

Vancouver is the only team that could have touched these numbers if they'd made it farther in the playoffs in any of the past 3 seasons.
