The real NHL draft lottery actually had a pretty big impact to our league and the supplemental draft this year.

Carolina jumped way up to the #2 pick.

Ottawa is the only team picking in the top 10 of the NHL that isn't a DNHL franchise (meaning the 4th pick will be available in the supplemental draft). Currently 10 picks in the first round are owned by teams that are not a DNHL franchise. Only 5 picks in the 2nd round are owned by teams that are not a DNHL Franchise. Although some teams own more then 3 1st and 2nd round picks in real life (NY Rangers, Detroit, Montreal) so a couple more players will be available.

The first year entry draft talent available for our supplemental draft will be down a little bit compared to past seasons.
