Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Completed Trades / Brewers/Blue Jays
« on: January 28, 2022, 11:06:09 PM »
Blue Jays Receive:
Pick 11.29
Pick 16.29

Brewers Receive:
Pick 12.16
Pick 13.16

*All picks in 2021 Draft*

Pick swap. Some talent coming up I like. Move up/move down. As it is difficult to determine value in next season's Draft, Jays are good with this as they believe one of their targets will drop to 11.29.
Thx BrewCrew

Yankees Receive
William Woods SP/ATL (P-N/A)
Dylan Lee RP/ATL (P-N/A)
Kansas City 2022 5th Round pick 5-148 (Via Anderson trade)

Indians Receive
Tyler Nevin OF/BLT (P-N/A)
Omar Estevez 2B/LAD (P-N/A)

Swap of prospects here, but the upside of Woods is intriguing enough to do this. As a converted reliever to SP, he may take a little time to develop, but the stuff is there to make a difference in shorter order than many may believe. Lee is a nice RP that came out of the blue for the Braves and is definitely worth a chance here at the price.
Nice dealing Indians

Franchise GM: Completed Trades / Re: Braves - Giants Trade
« on: January 28, 2022, 01:11:12 AM »
Braves trade:
C Nola, Austin, $0.5m (P-2022)

Giants trade:
C Casali, Curt, $0.5m (2023)
C Bailey, Patrick, $0.5m (P-n/a)

The rebuilding Braves feel Bailey is a nice future piece and one to chance now. Sure Casali will split time w/Bart, but unless the latter hits, Casali could find a sneaky high volume AB position for the Giants. Sue there is risk here, but the upside with Bailey is real and his value could be low atm.
Nice dealing Giants

As Cubs said, preference in SP and risky secondary pitcher swap. AL Central a bit less volatile than AL East.

The Braves need a major youth overhaul, and string by acquiring 2 top prospects at their respective positions (Cartaya Grissom) will help the rebuild. At the price Chih-Jung Liu was worth a flier and hoping he pans out. It will take a while, but with patience and targeting the right youngsters the Braves should be on their way to rebuilding itself.
Nice dealing Cardinals

Franchise GM / Re: Braves Initial Trade Block

Glad to be a part of this league. This is a rebuild team but I am up for the challenge. To make things simple I will merely list a few available players, but then also the players I want to build around.
OTB:
Omar Navaez
Chris Taylor
Every hitting prospect is OTB except Anbioris Tavarez and Mayer

Pitching Wise:
Fleming
Garrett
T. Williams
T. Houck somewhat
Are those SPs avail

Pieces Likely NOT Moving
Spencer Schwellenbach
Grayson Rodriguez
Landon Marceaux
Ian Anderson

Inquire with interests otherwise. Looking for prospects/young MLB talent. Always open for business

Please note: as I am a rebuilding team, I will take any and all offers on everyone except Grayson Rodriguez, Schwellenbach, Ian Anderson

Braves are doing this to clear cap to be more flexible in their rebuilding project but are high on Schmitt and Corry. Corry has had some struggles but he appears to be righting the ship. McCann will serve as a stop gap C for the team until a better replacement is obtained. At least he shows some pop and meaningful stats. You know what you're getting with Dickerson and it is not bad
Nice dealings SF

  • jimw: I think the NBA goes one team at a time to give the one team a better talent pool in the expansion draft and also to keep the teams from complaining about losing more players
