Title: Sharks/Flyers
Post by: Rock On on February 21, 2019, 03:40:25 PM
Traded to Sharks
G Brian Elliott, $6.0m (2018-2022)
W Blake Comeau, $2.8m (2017-2020)

Traded to Flyers
C/W Barclay Goodrow, $0.2m (2017-2019)
C/W Blake Coleman, $7.0m (2018-2022)
D Nick Jensen, $1.5m (2018-2021)

This trade lands us another goalie. We're stock piling Dallas Stars players because they're underrated this season. Moving Coleman helps us create the roster we are trying to create in San Jose. Philadelphia to confirm.

:iatp: Philly confirms. We have our situation in goal sorted and can part with Brian. His departure means we can address some spots on our team we've been looking to deal with since Xmas. Blake's delivering the goods to justify his huge contract, for now. Good negotiating with you Rock. GL in SJ.

:iatp: Good pickup for Sharks especially if Elliott lands in a part time starting role after this summer.

:iatp: This deal evens out both ways. Sharks get an aging goalie and winger in return for unloading a n inflated FA contract and some depth.

Both teams appear to get what they need from this trade.
