:NAS: and :STL-NHL: have agreed to the following trade
:NAS: trades
Pekka Rinne, $5.2m (2013-2014)
:STL-NHL: trades
Jaden Schwartz, $2.0m (2014-15-EL)
Carlo Colaiacovo, $2.5m (2014-2015)
Max Domi (2013: 1/12 - 0 Games)
Josh Leivo (2011: 3/86 - 0 Games)
The Predators do this trade since they are in rebuilding mode and get 1 young skater with potential and in the NHL and 2 young specs that have a lot of potential as well. Carlo was a throw in to make the salaries work.
I know Rinne is a stud and was considering extending him but decided to trade him with him being over 30 and signing him for another 4 years. Therefore since this team is in rebuild mode I needed to go younger and add multiple young skaters.
Ripper to confirm trade

I was reluctant to trade Domi but he needed to be included to make this deal happen. Bishop is on the block so I wanted to land a top goalie.
Good luck in the rebuild Nashville, you have some really nice pieces.

Men. You know I have a lot of love for you both but uuuuuuhm, this deal hurts :NAS: bigtime in a goalie starved league.
Three reasons:
1 - :NAS: moving Rinne before confirming with 100% certainty Karri Ramo is a starter is dangerous for the Predators franchise losing a critical, not key, but ultra critical player in their line-up.
2 - The return does not equal to a Pekka Rinne. Colaiacovo isn't signed anywhere in the NHL and likely would've been an inexpensive FA if he was a free agent. Max Domi is good but not worth 1/4th of Rinne. Jaden is potenitally worth 1/4 of a Pekka.
3. Finally the Blues already have starting goalies Bishop,Halak and starter in waiting Jake Allen so it's not like :NAS: needs to charitably give away Rinne.
This deal hurts the :NAS: franchise so I vote No and hope the teams involved understand this is not good for the league.

this trade also needs more TC votes.
PM sent... not really what should be done but i've done it. guys, just vote.

:veto:
because this trade removes Nashville's best asset by a longshot.
in fact, goalies score x2 if not x3 more than a top skater.
Nashville's backup Ramo has not trackrecord of any sort other than in the KHL which has no impact on this league's scoring system.
Question: can Nashville explain how removing Rinne helps their team in a rebuild other than clear salary cap?
-
:veto:
Sorry guys but more needs to come back for Rinne.
-
I think any deal that as a #1 goalie should include at least 2 players in return that will give you 2 fpts or more per game witch in this case only time would give us the true value of those prospect .
Bottom line Rinne for no guarantee = :veto:

sorry I have to veto too not enough for a top starter...

No Problem, I want it to be fair as well. Maybe if I work a goalie in it will be approved?
