Bounceback player of the year
« on: October 14, 2021, 08:51:01 PM »
Is gonna be Charlie Coyle. I know I'm a Homer, but, taking Krejci's spot between Taylor Hall and Craig Smith AND a newly repaired knee may lead to a great season.

You heard it here! Who you got for comeback player of the year?

Coyle is solid bet. I'll stick with Bruins and go with more obvious choice in Hall. He did finish year pretty well once he got to Boston but a full season should be back to 30+ goal mark.

Sticking with my team here, also like Viktor Arvidsson to return to 30+ goal mark with change of scenery and playing with Kopitar now.

In general last year was tough season, so sure we will see a bounce of guys bounce back.

Right, Hall and Coyle's destiny's are tied together.  I think Hall bounced back well when he got to Boston - so I'm calling that his comeback.

Arvidsson is a good pick to bounce back too - he should get some nice PP opportunities in LA.  Nice start last night!

Could be Tarasenko - now that you traded him.

Maybe OEL gets back on track in Vancouver?

As a Pens fan I sure would like to see Jarry stop some goals after that Islanders series last year.

I'd like to go in a different direction and go with the squashed player of the year.  Patrik Laine.  Maybe he is still good, but gone are the days of all those goals.

He should be shooting 10+ times every game like Ovechkin.  His passes should just be his shots hitting the goalie.  He should be trying to slap through the puck while it is on someone else's stick instead of poke checks. He should always be shooting.  Instead he starts this season off the same as last season with 0 shots on goal.  Yikes.  It would be fun to see another 50 goal scorer and he could do it.

Torts is gone, so Laine has a chance!
