I just checked the other league's Fantrax page. I looked at Carlos Beltran and he had 273 in both Fantrax and Baseball Reference. So, TB = 1B + (2B*2) + (3B*3)+(HR*4) is correct.
i.e. Carlos Beltran TB = 89+(39*2)+(6*3)+(22*4) = 273 3955

For all of the statistical websites (not necessarily Fantasy Baseball Scoring Services) total bases is simply the number of bases obtained by a hit. TB = 1B + (2B*2) + (3B*3)+(HR*4). I haven't previously played in a league that used total bases, but I just started in another league that uses TB and BB as separate categories.
In my mind these are completely separate. 3956

I am ok either way. If we do go with extensions, two thoughts:
1) I don't think players should not be able to make less than the previous year. Players in the real MLB are not going to take less money to remain with their team (except in rare circumstances) unless they have tried the free agent market. 2) Would we want to consider some kind of limitations? I'd hate to see the free agent pool be completely closed off from players that will help improve teams. 3960
Armchair Fantasy Baseball: Archives / Re: Salary Cap / Free Agency« on: December 12, 2011, 08:42:14 AM »
The Consititution states that any team that started over the cap, i.e. Boston & NY, has until March 1, 2012 to comply. The provision also allows the commissioner to release player or assess other penalties to achieve a payroll under the $125 cap.
I don't know however, how that works with free agency, whether they will be allowed to bid or not? |
