Rockies agree to trade this one was made for one reason i fill alot of positions that would have need to fill via fa in 2021 and i do it know. This was a trade for some more young pieces to add to my team plus a couple of vets also. If trade gets aproved ill be makeing to roster moves to fit all these players to my team.

Hampton i get a up and coming 2b

Tauchman will replace  winker in my of and saves me money in long run.
I add another sp/closer in kim
I add another young closer in gott to my team. And i am a big fan of
Gregorius and he has a friendly contract. For some reson catching im haveing trouble keeping from being injured so adding vasguez will help me for this yr and its always good to add debth to my team. Loseing winker and witt wasnt easy but i felt adding more for team is better in long run than waiting on a ss thats probably 3 to 4 yrs away. I have so much debth in the of i could move a player like winker and it doesnt hurt as much

Jays confirm.

Deal to get a SS for the future as we are deep in that position currently.

Give up multiple pieces to do so however we are also fairly deep at RP and can call up some minors guys to fill the void.

Yes it’s a lot of pieces but we have the depth to recover, and hopefully get a starting SS down the road.

Ok I’m going to be the bad guy here but  :veto:. This is a collection of mid to low tier guys for a top prospect. Andujar hasn’t looked the same post TJ, Didi is over 30 years old and Hampson profiles more as a utility player than an everyday starter. Just in comparison to the last Witt deal that got shot down I don’t know how a larger collection of lesser players make this an overall better deal

If you can lay out how this is detrimental to the COL franchise please do.

Also,

I think that this package:
SS Gregorius, Didi, $4m (2022)
2B Hampson, Garrett, $0.3m (P-n/a)
3B Andujar, Miguel, $0.3m (P-2021)
C Vasquez, Christian $0.3m (2020)
OF Tauchman, Mike, $0.3m (P-n/a)
RP Gott, Trevor, $0.3m (2021)
SP Kim, Kwang-Hyun., $0.3m (P-n/a)

Is better off than this package for Witt Jr.:
Jon Gray $4m (2024)
Aroldis Chapman $2.7m (2020)

Plus along with Witt Jr., COL was also giving up these 3, in exchange for Gray and Chapman:
Edwards Olivares
Victor Victor Mesa
Brad Hand

So yeah, not quite a comparison if you ask me.

Anyways, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Seems like this league is a no trade league here this season so that's fun. Guess an overpayment is in the works to get any deal done. Noted. I can do that.

Typically this is usually a pass/veto thread and guy lay out their reason and don’t react to every veto but I’ll respond. Chapman and Gray have ranked higher than any of the guys in the proposal. And the youth in the package is a group of guys who who either aren’t likely to be everyday starters (Tauchman and Hampson) and a guy who looks completely different following surgery (Andujar). We’re discussing a top 25 prospect here, compiling a larger group of lesser players doesn’t equate it to be being more valuable than getting 2-3 top tier guys

I've been back and forth for a few days on this trade and it's time that I need to give my vote.

I'm not a fan of the trade.  I think it's shortsighted and doesn't really improve :COL: based on the current roster makeup.

That being said, I don't think Hampson and Andujar lack some upside.  I also do think that Vazquez, Gregorius and Kim are able to contribute immediately, so while I think :COL: is worse off in the long run for the deal,  :iatp:

Well to me your under value gott rp giants right know he the closer for the giants and already has 4 saves last time i looked.  Hampton is ranked 10th best hitter as a 2b this yr so far. Kim just got moved to sp roll. I just got stanton backup in the of and look at this every player i got is on a pc deal except for didi. If u look im adding  young assets to my team and i will have the payroll in 2021 to get at least 2 or 3 top fa added to my team.

This trade just doesn't make since value wise. Maybe Witt plus a smaller piece or Winker plus a slightly bigger piece than the one that would be included with Witt would make sense, but Winker and Witt are clearly the two best guys in the deal. Gotta and Kim are fillers, Andujar has 63 ABs over the last two years and even without the injuries he hasn't had a place to play. DiDi has had two seasons with an OPS+ over 100 and his best one in 2019 was only half a season, so his 106 OPS+ is his only full season with an OPS+ north of 100. 6 percent better than average isnt much to write home about. The verdict is still on Hampson.

So two above average value players for a bunch a fillers doesn't cut it.

Sorry guys.

Not sure what is going on with this trade, but if/when trade is processed onto Fantrax:

Place on MLB Roster:
OF Winker, Jesse, $0.3m (P-2021)

Place on Minor League Roster:
SS Witt, Jr. Bobby, $0.3m (P-n/a)

Thanks

:judge:Yeagg not on trade committee, his veto is scraped. Updating rosters to see where teams stand and then will process.
