To Islanders:
Zach Hyman, $2.3m (2017-2020)
Semyon Varlamov, $7.3m (2018-2022)
C - Michael McLeod (2016: 1/12 - 21 Games)
Round 2 - 2019 (from :CLG:*)
To Red Wings:
Ryan Johansen, $6.4m (2016-2020) $4.0m (2019-2022)
Robin Lehner, $5.8m (2015-2019) $7.4m (2019-2023)
The Islanders posted extensions for these two players, so I hope it is alright that I included them in this post PPG.
Detroit makes this deal to lower our average goalie age by a tiny bit. Lehner may split starts with Crawford or he may be the #1 this year, but I expect him to the the #1 goalie in Chicago for the length of his contact. Trading Hyman for Johansen helps diversify my roster a little bit as I already have Marner. We think this deal is good for both clubs. Thanks Johnny for the talks, it was a pleasure as always. :toast:

:NYI: confirm
Same story continues, as it’s all about making much needed salary cuts.
Last season was my window for success, where I went all in, and now I need to mitigate the damages.
Hopefully I am able to strech my deep run to the up and coming season too but the rebuild is inevitable and looming in the near future.
Liking the return, though the point production may be a bit lesser. However, still great pieces coming this way.
Kindly apply my second Franchise Player tag to Varlamov!
Thanks for the smooth and easy discussions Ian!

Seems like another good hockey trade. Curious to see how the Hawks play the Crow-Lehner combination. Curious how Trotz plays the Varly-Greiss combination.

:iatp: That's a winning deal for the Islanders who move Lehner and get Varlamov who'll get the benefit of Barry's defensive system protecting him.

:iatp: Big goalie trade. Not one I would make as Detroit but each owner builds their own way.
