Post by: PsychoticPondGoons on April 17, 2020, 03:04:21 PM
Let's hear your predictions on the 2020-21 NHL season. How's it all going to play out next NHL season and why?

My guess, the 2020-21 NHL season will be truncated and feature a 45 game regular season and full playoffs.

Shortened regular season to account for the delay to the 2019-20 season completion.

45 game because they've done something similar during the last labor dispute with 48 games in 2012-13.

The season will start in December with training camps and officially start mid-January as it did in 2012-13 with the 1st regular season game was played January 19th.

Playoffs will follow the regular format with best of 7 series.

. :iatp: PPG is actually Bettman! I think you've got a good plan there PPG. Makes a lot of sense. With a start time of December for next season there should be enough time for the current and even a possible second wave of COVID-19 to pass.

:iatp: I agree with Mordecai. PPG you should be working for the NHL to get them up and running again.

If you look at Taiwan baseball, they're playing to empty stadiums and quarantined in hotels. Lots of precautions in place but will it last?

Well done, PPG. I think you've got a winning plan there. The start of the 2020-21 in January with training camp in December makes good sense if the NHL is able to play the rest of the 2019-20 season starting mid-Summer.
