confirms this deal.  Well I hate losing Ovie, but this continues my rebuild.  I don't mind losing Brodin or Marincin, but the 3rd rounder hurts a little.  Fisher will help now, and may possibly, if possible, get turned around into another deal before the trade deadline midseason.  Bennett and Jurco and nice young pieces.  The gem in the deal is Dal Colle.  It is going to take a couple of years, but I see this guy being a great fantasy player in the NHL.  Thanks Drew for the deal!

Edmonton confirms, we are excited to get one of the top fantasy performers in the league but had to pay up with my farm. I have now dealt almost all the players I drafted last year in Bennett, Ehlers and now Dal Colle which hurts but I am in a win now mentality. The other players in Bennett and Jurco are tough to lose as well but need to move. The other players coming my way are so that I can possibly fill out my team for this coming season with some cheap contracts as the high dollar values on my team need compliments to get a win. This one was a long one in the making and finally got done.

Not only does Washington get three guys with a very bright future, but they also get $4.4m in cap to help fill holes in their line up. This is good for them now and the future. That is the price you pay to obtain a superstar.
