San Jose Sharks make a trade that made too much sense from the standpoint of our strategy of build a strong young core. Were moving soon to be 32yo Price for :win: 25yo two-time Stanley Cup champion Matt Murray! :win:

Trade to SJ
Matt Murray, $0.4m (2016-2019-EL)  extension = 8.1m (2019-2024)

Trade to MTL
Carey Price, $10.4m (2016-2021)

I resisted this deal early this offseason but when you can land a 2-time Stanley Cup champ entering the prime of his career you've got to go for it.

As good as Price is, he hasn't won a Cup and he's in the twilight of his career.
