How about park this decision by saying for the 2021-22 FNHL cap:
A) Roll back by 5% IF NHL cap ceiling is => $81.5M (equal or greater than) B) Maintain and mirror NHL cap ceiling if < $81.5M (less than)
Thoughts?

Right about now I’m liking the Flyers a lot.
They were solid during Round Robin play. Impressive pose by Hart in net and he could take them all the way.
Flyers are looking good as the playoffs get ready to start. They have Montreal in Rd1 and that should be a no brainer unless Julien has figured out Philly's game plan and shuts them down early.

This one hurts because we didn't have the cap space to resign Wilson before the start of the off season and the increase to skater extensions took effect yesterday.
Canes will use the 10% cap overage and resign: RW - Tom Wilson, $1.8m (2017-2020) 5yr extension contract $10.0m (2020-2025) 18/19 - 34 19/20 - 6
He is a beast and seems to be getting better, stronger, faster and meaner!

I think what's being asked is a salary cap ceiling decrease and breaking from the FNHL tradition of following NHL announced cap floor and ceiling.
Well, I guess it all comes down to $$ amount of the decrease. If it's a significant decrease, it could hurt the majority of teams and goes against the "spirit of fun" in a fantasy league.
Also, consider how skater extension values have just been increased and how the expansion draft will cause teams to lose a valuable asset. Both actions impact teams negatively already and to throw in a cap drop seems like it could be excessive.
Mind you, given the pandemic, the NHL might be forced to reduce the cap ceiling anyways in 2021-22 so it could still happen naturally whether FNHL owners vote to introduce it artificially or not.

Canes resign: G - Sergei Bobrovsky, $8.9 (2015-2020) 5yr extension contract $9.5m (2019-2024) 18/19 - 5 19/20 - 13
D - Brandon Montour, $0.7m (2017-2020-EL) 4yr extension contract $5.5m (2020-2024) 18/19 - 56 19/20 - 100

Before the qualification round started I would've gone all in on Boston.
After 3 days, I feel the Flyers are hungry.

Makes sense. The NHL's min salary is at $700,000 in 2019-20 and going up again to $750,000 in 2021-22.

I'm starting to think the Hub city bubbles are going to be like dorm rooms for a bunch of man childs running around pranking opposing teams in the middle of the night, every night.

Canes are looking for a trade for Tom Wilson, $1.8m (2017-2020). He's due an extension for eight bills. But he's the total package. Scores. Assists. Hitting machine. Wilson's the talented and mean bodyguard/linemate of one Alex Ovechkin.

I like their jersey. But isn't that light green called "Mint Green" or "Sea Foam" instead of "Ice". Reminds me a little of the Minnesota Wild jersey.
