I approve if the mods confirm that franchise tags can be applied immediately in a trade...to me a franchise tag seems to a secondary move to become cap compliant after the fact and we've seen trades struck down because they wouldn't have been roster compliant until after the fact. If you consider that the fact that you can't franchise a player that you don't own and when they deal goes through it is over the cap, this deal may be invalid. I don't know that you can do two roster actions at once, and much like a math problem, I see this as an order of operations issue.
