We'll also sign Condon to a FA contract of Mike Condon, $2.7m (2018-2021).

We move a contract and player we felt did not fit our future plans and add draft picks to stock our system. Condon is a risk/reward FA signing and we will have a better idea whether he fits our franchise's needs later this Summer. Good talking trade with you Beef! :toast:

Aging defenceman with declining production dealt for future potential in a pair of mid-late round draft picks is a wise business move for Vegas.

:iatp: It'll be interesting to see what happens to Condon this summer after his poor start and the demotion to the AHL followed by his long IR instint. If he rebounds, he will be a steal at 2.7m per yr and he's only 27-28yo!

:iatp: $4 million for an aging Dion Phaneuf is rather steep but so is close to $3 million for an AHL/ECHL goalie like Condon. Six of one, half a dozen of another.
