Colorado hesitations were high when first approached about Barzal because we can also apply a franchise tag to the dynamic forward and we have always held forwards with more regard for consistency and ceiling. Ultimately we felt the Blueline need and ability to grab a couple minor but flexible picks would benefit the team.

With the fifth pick we are in position to move Brossoit to milr and improve our available cap space further both today and in the future.

This is the time for those who definitely don’t plan to return to say so that way we know ahead of time we have to find replacements. Nobody is pressuring you, it’s more of a courtesy to the LM who do this for nothing so they can make a game plan for next season.
