Habs and Kings agree to a trade.

:LAK: Kings get
Cody Ceci, $3.3m (2017-2020)
G - Mike Robinson (2015: 3/86 - 0 Games)

:MON-NHL: Habs get
Christian Dvorak, $0.7m (2016-2019-EL)


We shave some cap and add a young Center who still has potential at age 22. Ceci is a decent defender but we feel was ok to move him to get the forward we want. Godzilla to confirm. :toast:

:iatp: My Kings agree to this trade because we need to rebuild our blueline and Ceci is only 24yo with some possible upside left in him. We have more tweaking to do. Thanks Mordecai.

Habs get the better of this deal in my book mainly due to shedding some salary and lowering their cap hit. But as a team that also needs help on the blueline, I get why LA makes this deal.

:iatp: Both guys are young. LA gets a prospect goalie but Robinson is not highly rated at this time. The difference is cap but good young D are harder to come by.

LA doesn't have the cap space to make this trade now. Kings are over the 10% off-season overage with this trade.

Both teams can wait until the 2018-19 season once the cap increases to 79.5m and the 10% overage is still in play.

And now that the season is changing, LA has $13.2m in cap space to complete this trade. :judge:
