Post by: mzambito on July 19, 2017, 06:21:01 PM: ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI — Today, the St. Louis Blues organization have made an announcement that may come as a shock for many... Ripper has officially sold and stepped down as owner/GM.

When asked about his firing and sale of the team, he mentioned "(my) inability to get the team out of the first round, this year, lead to my ultimate demise."

Taking his place is fresh blood, MZambito, who may not be known to many in the Franchise league, but brings plenty of experience and dedication with him.

For those concerned about the future of the team, Zambito praised Rip for leaving the Blues in fantastic shape for the foreseeable future. Furthermore, Rip has been officially named as Senior Advisor to the GM for the 2017-18 season. Helping the new GM with the transition process.

Welcome mzambito! You have a good team to work with that actually IS close to winning it all. A few moves and you should be right there.

Good luck ripper you will be missed. I'll be curious to see how much the blues sold for.

That is a solid price for both. Ripper gets a nice payday for taking care of team over the past several years and a new owner gets a team for a solid price. That is the same price I sold the Canadians for. That is the value of a top team here. Good Luck in the Central, I already got that division pegged as toughest division in the league with 4 powerhouses.

Well, the Ripper Chapter of the St.Louis Blues comes to a close at the end of the 2016-17 FNHL season. There was an appearance in the 2013-14 FNHL Finals. Many great trades that put the franchise in a great position to contend annually.

The league will miss Ripper's brand of hockey.
