Giants are pleased to get OF Mike Yastrzemski.  He did very well in MiLB and has shown he belongs in the majors after his recent debut.  Willians Astudillo seems to be on the verge of great things, and then he fizzles when he is given a chance to play.  Although eligible at three positions, the Twins don't seem to have a solid roster spot for him as he has been demoted multiple times during the past two seasons, so he was offered to seal the deal.  Granderson and Rojas are depth players and will help the Padres, but with the addition of Dee Gordon and now Yastrzemski, the Giants can afford to give them up.  Paulo Orlando will be released  and was only included to balance the salaries.  He too, is one of those promote/demote players.

Padres are happy to get the likes of Rojas to fill in our IF and in addition Astudillo an upstart young man playing IF/OF/C in Majors in years to come. Granderson on his last hurrah may have something left in his tank for the rest of this season. Next??? will see when we get there.
