Below is the order that each team will be drafting in this years entry draft. The draft will officially begin Thursday September 613, 2016 at 0h01 ET. However teams with the top picks can feel free to post their selection earlier (at their discretion).

* 12-HOUR CLOCK Each team will have 12 hours to make a selection, starting with OWNER :VAN: VANCOUVER CANUCKS. You will make your selection in this thread. Fantrax Draft Room will email/PM the next team to select - please ensure your contact information is accurate.

* 2016 FNHL Draft Eligible players CLICK HERE 2016 NHL Drafted Prospects. (http://www.nhl.com/ice/draftsearch.htm)

* AUTO-PICK If you do not make a selection in the allotted 12-hour time frame, the highest available player from the actual 2016 NHL Entry Draft will be auto-picked for you, then you will be set to auto-pick unless you PM the commissioners or individual organizing the draft.

* Alert PigsRule / PsychoticPondGoons if you have any questions or see a need for a correction instead of posting in this thread!

* Drafted players will be updated on MiLR as the draft progresses.

* A Play-off team's draft position will be determined by the Stanley Cup playoff results. Whichever team wins the Stanley Cup is awarded the 30th and last pick, while the runner-up is given the 29th pick. Teams eliminated in the conference finals are awarded the 28th and 27th picks, with the 28th pick going to the team with the better regular season record. Remaining division winners, then the rest of the field are ranked next, filling in the 26th through 15th picks. In both cases, better records result in later picks.

Hard to be hopped up on any draft, most players need time in the oven yet. It is a valued tool to add young talent. My Leafs will be pulling up 2 from the minors soon, Coyotes should add 1. To undervalue the draft is a mistake IMO.

:iatp: the goal is to keep the value of draft picks high to ensure they are an asset to teams to build a pipeline of prospects or in trade.

The Rangers had an excellent draft. The prognosticators all project your broadway bound prospects to be NHL players sooner or later including Soy whom my Kings had queued.

Laine is going to be good in Winnipeg. Drafts are funny dosent matter if its Hockey or football. There are many more misses than hits. Unless you are the Oilers and have one of the top 3 picks year in and year out. I like to look at a draft after 4 or 5 years just to see who drafted better over all. Pretty interesting stuff. I liked both my teams first two selections. I got who i wanted on both with the first picks. Coyotes were Logan Brown all the way, Leafs were locked of Keiffer Bellows. After that i had a list going for both, lost wuite a few a pick or two before i chose. My Fiance says i put way too much time in on this league. I replied with a hey i could be at the bar all the time.

My best draft year was my first in tis league. I would like to thibk I helped stock the farm for :PIT-NHL: back on 2011.
