Round 5 -- DIVISION CHAMPIONS REWARD
Division Champion Draft Picks guidelines - any player that qualifies for MiLR status (82 regular season games played or less, and from current or past draft years)
A. :CAR-NHL: 150pts (Metropolitan Division Champion)
B. :NAS: 132pts (Central Division Champion)
C. :MON-NHL: 126pts (Atlantic Division Champion)
D. :EDM: 84pts (Pacific Division Champion)
PR and I have decided this was a good time to announce and hand out the new rewards to our 4 FNHL Division Champions. Each of the 4 teams has been rewarded with a Round 5 Draft Pick at the end of this year's FNHL Entry Draft.
Each team can use it to select a player from the current draft or any available player that meets MiLR eligibility criteria (82 NHL games played or less). The drafted player would be placed on the team's MiLR and like a Supplemental Draftee, would be eligible for an Entry Level contract of 1-3 years at the league minimum for skater or goalie regardless of NHL draft position.
Congratulations to:
:CAR-NHL: Halo99's Carolina Hurrricanes
:NAS: Burkes Boys' Nashville Predators
:MON-NHL: Mordecai's Montreal Canadiens
:EDM: Jonathan's Edmonton Oilers

:iatp: This is easy enough to do and a nice reward for the teams that performed so well during the regular season in FNHL.

Darn, if I knew there was a going to be a reward for division winners, I would have tried a bit harder to beat out Montreal. We were neck and neck.
Good thing I've been stockpiling draft picks anyway.
Congrats again Division Winners! :win:

I lobbied PR for 2nd place prizing but haven't heard back. LOL Philly was a solid #2 behind that Carolina this yr.

Good additional incentive to finish 1st in a division.

I like it!
It's a nice advantage to be able to pick players not in the 2018 entry draft. Prospect tournaments usually occur near this time so there are bound to be a few guys that otherwise would have fell through the cracks.

This is a good idea to acknowledge the achievement of teams that claim a Division Championship. I am looking forward to winning Central in 2018-19.
