We still like Noesen but just not in the 1st round.
This time around, with the 14th overall pick Ottawa selects Center - Mika Zibanejad who was taken 6th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. That's good value right there!

#15 takes Ondrej Palat who went undrafted in FNHL and was only taken in the 7th rd 208th overall. I would love a team of Palats.

16. Chicago - Jamie Oleksiak 2011, the 2018-19 edition of the Blackhawks will select Andrew Shaw who was drafted 139th overall (Round 5) by the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks.

Looks like neither Palat nor Shaw got drafted in FNHL. Wow! Guess 2011 FNHL scouting departments had tight budgets.

Quite the surprise today! Back in 2011, a 5'10 Andrew Shaw didn't register well on the radars of most scouts. He did grow another inch since. Both players play key roles on their respective teams in the NHL.

RNH and Zibanejad would be anchoring our FWD lines nightly and we'd be that much closer to a Championship. But that's OK, we're making progress since I took over and that's what counts now.
