SF/PF Aaron Gordon, $4.8m (2019 & 2020), $8.0m (2021)


Lakers do this to save some cap and free up a roster spot. Hoping to get 1-2 free agents to round out the roster.

While he's not Blake Griffin, Gordon is a solid starting SF/PF player who's still young, and on a good contract for 3 more years.

Houston will be a strong team, so the picks won't be very high, but there is still some value in the late 1st round and into the 2nd rounds as we saw this year, with us having only 40 total picks available.

Houston approves this trade.

Like West said, I hope that my first picks will be late 1st picks. With this scenario I can use them to get Aaron Gordon to fill the SF spot where I only have 1 player in team and the FA Agency is going to be so difficult to get a good one this year.
I take no risks and take Gordon and see what happens with FA Agency.
