As Jonathon says hindsight is 20/20. True 50% puts u in the playoffs in Pacific but sometimes it hard to get their 2 yrs ago Canucks were in total disary when i got had 1st overall and still now got nowhere near and had 5th and now 7th in following drafts, (1st Rd + duchene for Markstrom early in 2016/17) and i've made mistake (selling Matthews for not enough). But Halo had 1st pick last year and now leading the league, so miracles can happen.

But everyone makes mistakes even Jonathon who i regard as one of the best NCAA FA finders and prospect pickers in the league, as last year draft trade his quote: I move one steal for another.
When i traded him Sam Steel and 48th pick for Elias Pettersson so could franchise tag him in the future, as thought at the least be Canucks 2C for next ten years (I never dreamed he end up becoming all time rookie SHL scorer).

Got feeling my pm's on prospect trades might be on auto block by Jonathon for a while.

haha I liked that trade and still do. Steel and Chytil + I drafted Mittelstadt in the same draft. Pettersson slipped pretty far for me to get him. I got too many centers on this team, probably letting Jordan Staal walk. I do have a great Canuck though.

  Yeah, there has been a lot of trades around these parts, so I would imagine some that didn't work out too well.

Holy crap! Canes made 16 deals?!!

I bought into Nashville at the right time. They drafted Gibson and Andersen way back and there was a good foundation of talent to build around. The toughest part is keeping a good core group together with their contract starting to spiral out of control starting last yr and onward. Extensions will force up to make some tough choices this offseason.

Yeah I decimated my farm system in an effort to win the cup this year. I made a lot of moves building for the future the previous year so I was basically trading from that stockpile this year. Looking back I probably won a lot of trades last year when I was building and lost more trades this year when I was all in.

It's just easier to justify parting with draft specs and specs when you are trying to keep up with the Flyers and Predators of the world I guess...

Avalanche own pick 17 and 19 also... Dallas and TB

Columbus owns 30, we had that pick also but thought Carolina was ruining its value; that Jerk
