Slack didnt have to say anything and Edmonton wouldve won the FA so not sure if hes being nice to Blkhwkfn or stirring the crapper with Jonathan. Haha

In context it should be clear that I was helping the entire league. I think he is up to speed now but BLKHWKFN has stumbled a fair bit this free-agency. My apology to Jonathan was sincere.

I scared him off with the 22M bid, although I had to bid at least 15M, which means I only bumped that up by 0.5M per year.

The owner of the Jets and Islanders is correct!
Too much extra work. There's plenty of options in this cap league to allow for trades and transactions without adding more secretarial work. For 30 teams it'll get mess and it's a needless option. If you Owners and GMs all spend wisely there'll be little need to move contract $$ around unlike the old farts in the real league.

yeah I can see that with the buyout rebate feature the idea of retaining cap in a trade is kind of redundant.  I would probably prefer the cap retention option vs. the rebate as its more realistic to the NHL but that horse has been beat to death.
