The Blues confirm this trade.

The Blues do this trade to get a number of young players along with a depth Dman. All 3 young players have a lot of potential to do well. I also get Wideman on a cheap contract for 2 years.

That's a full on rebuild in St. Louis. Always fun to tear it all down and build it back up.

I almost feel the need to veto this trade if only because St. Louis is creating a roster that will not produce much resistance to opponents after trading the majority of their productive players to Carolina and Colorado. If that is the goal of the Blues owner to rebuild through youth, then :iatp:

I hate to veto any trade but I do agree with DickieDunn. How will St Louis compete in 2019/20 after trading away scorers for prospects that seem to be 2-4 years from making it to the NHL.

Build and let build. Every owner has their own strategy and blueprint.

In a league like this you either want to be really good or really bad imo. There's no prize for sneaking into the playoffs and losing in the first round.

I can't rip Denise's strategy because I did the same thing she's doing with Carolina the first year I took them over(Had a non competitive team and finished last after trading all vets for specs and picks). The important thing is that she's getting assets in return that she feels will help her win in the future. The trade needs to be judged based on the assets she receives and not whether the blues are competitive this year.

This deal is much better for Colorado and a clear swinging of the fences for Bokk. I think they could of done better in the current market.

I believe the intent of some owners to mention the term "veto" is the definition of the role of Trade Committee to determine if the trade is detrimental and although we might want to say it is, we also have to give St. Louis the benefit and understand they bought the Blues franchise and want to create more cap space for future moves. So for me :iatp:  Build away St. Louis and Colorado.

Given all the input from other owners, let's let St Louis and Denise51 build the way they want to.

For this trade :iatp:

I am no stranger to being criticized for trades I have made but I had a vision and it’s not quite clear yet. Lots of things happen player failure, injuries, signing overseas. If a GM is in it for the long haul (and it is frustrating and takes time) then I am good with it.  :iatp:

By the way my first draft was 2015 Arizona Coyotes.
