The intention is to keep the prize pool meaningful and in turn the level of competition up.
We can put it to a vote with question being whether the 10$ returning team fee takes effect this yr or in 2016-17.

I am confident the decisions taken by PigsRule are for the betterment of the league. He rescued the league from the gutter twice the year Gilly abandoned it and the so called new commissioner went AWOL after a few days.
Franchise NHL is the great league it is today because of the decisions he has made.
Los Angeles and Ottawa management approve the increase to $10.00.

Sorry if it sounds silly but I signed up a few months ago partially because of the cheap $5 returning fee next year. I will not be paying $10, it is not fair for a student like me that an effect like this can go through immediately.
I mean 2016-2017 is fine, because it gives you time to prepare, adapt an so on, but directly for next season.. no

Then we start passing the hat around to collect.

The vote for the annual fee has closed and the league owners have voted 10-3 with the final tally being close to that with some votes coming from ppl that own more than one franchise.
Deadline to pay your team's 10 dollar fee for 2015-16 is April 25, 2015 via PayPal.
Transfers are 20$... Carolina is the only team that currently falls into that category.

Also when I agreed to come aboard as :TBL: owner GM & paying a large fee (comparable) I was given the price as $5 to return for year 2. Not that $10 will break me but its the principal of being told one thing to & being hit with an additional fee. No one likes hidden fees
