Title: FGM DL?
Post by: BHows on March 29, 2018, 09:11:22 PM
I heard a report today, Opening Day 2018 that there are 79 pitchers on the DL. Any thoughts on initiating a DL in FGM?

Tha Giants have 4 pitchers on the DL right now, two on each roster.  But with that, if I were allowed to place a player on the DL, and bid on a free agent to replace them, what happens when the players are healthy and no longer on the DL?  We would have to drop some players from our roster to make room for the and then we have dead money.

As unfortunate as injuries are, we have 40 player rosters and have 20 players in our daily lineups, so we just have to make due with what we haveā€”as frustrating as that is.  I am not in favor of adding a disabled list.

Agree with Flash and the fact that each team does have 40 roster spots for active, bench & injured players.

I concur with flash. A DL spot really doesn't help in the end the way FGM is structured. Decent thought though. If we did add DL, I personally probably wouldn't use it. It would also make roster sheets more difficult to manage.
