Well goal #1 is accomplished all 3 franchises are in the playoffs. Injuries have hurt Zona and TML this year.
-
Good Luck to those not playing me lol :toast:
-
Arizona favourites to beat my Canucks due to me having no starting goalies as jackets back to full strength and Marky having his injury. Just happy to have finally made it to the playoffs.
-
I'm glad to have a horse in the race. GL to all the teams in the playoffs, except when of you who play my Hurricanes.
GO CANES!

Sadly, Philly's season is done. But we went out with a BANG! Top scoring team of the week. :PHI-NHL::winner:

Interesting fact:
Edmonton and Nashville both will face 2 divisional opponents before the conference finals. Neither team has lost a divisional match-up in the last 2 yrs. GOOD LUCK :toast:
-
Canes take one on the chin with Bobrovsky getting injured Sunday. We have no goalies heading into Round 1.
-
Great year everyone! Cannot wait to see who survives until the end. :toast:
-
Injuries are going to kill my teams in the first round
-
Lots of tight matchups in Round 1. It might all come down to Sunday's games.
-
Not in our game you have a comfortable lead and roster depth CBJ doesn’t have
-
Huge upset in Round 1. A shocker!!!
FNHL Presidents' Trophy winner and #1 seed :EDM: Edmonton Oilers upset by the 16th seed :CLG: Calgary Flames:
:CLG: 105.55 def 88.9 :EDM:
Flames were 20th in Goals For while Oilers ranked 2nd in GF during the regular season.
Calgary lead from start to finish during Round 1.
A shocker!
-
I noticed PPG was setting his Flyers lineups in Rd1 ... guess he fantasizes he was actually in a postseason matchup. Just checked :PHI-NHL: Flyers were the highest scoring team last wk. At least he knows he’s got a playoff contender to work with.

I believe there’s an unofficial FNHL Presidents Trophy winner curse that results in a 1st round loss for the winner. Think I noticed it happened to Nashville and Carolina in recent years.
Big upset for sure in round 1.

OMFG! It actually happened. I didn't want to post last night to jinx the results but now that I've slept on it and the score hasn't changed, I can post away! Sorry Jonathan, my Flames just popped. Guess I assembled a playoff calibre team afterall. Barely made the playoffs and now we're onto round 2. I gotta go get ready.

:WAS-NHL3: (MET 3rd) 119.5 @ :PIT-NHL: (MET 2nd) 122.8
Obviously happy my (http://profsl.com/smf/Smileys/default/PIT-NHL.png) came out on top, but talk about one where it was a shame someone had to lose.

Edmonton had me so down, that I didn't even attempt to buy someone out and left points that would of won it with Fox, Nylander in minors. Oh well.

Yeah, my team decided after beating Montreal, Nashville and the Islanders the week before that they could take the week off. It also proves that having a lot of goalie starts doesn't guarantee anything. I had 5 in 7 days. They all sucked. Bad time to have the worst week of the year.

I feel I had the right guys. But we had a terrible start to the year with Carter Hart out for a while and Martin Jones sucking in San Jose. We are ready for next year but util then, I'll see how my team stacks up with the contenders in the mix this yr. :winner:

LOL

Injuries and off seasons by players heavily counted on are killers of success

I think we all expected Edmonton to steam roll the competition from the get go but when the Flames took the early lead and didn't seem to want to give it up, it was a matchup we all kept a close eye on daily. I think Forsberg got in a great start Sat but had not played well in 3 games prior so you chose not to start him, then he went out and won posting 7 points. Sometimes, too many goalies can be a burden, probably something Antman might've experienced too in Round 1.
-
Chicago management wishes the Nashville Predators good luck on the road to the Championship. Blackhawks had a lacklustre season and as with many teams in Franchise NHL, injuries took a toll.
We will start preparing for the off-season.

I had a tough time taking the loss in Round 1. We were trailing the whole week until Sunday evening when we finally took the lead and with 3 mins until we secured a victory, Donoski scores a goal and we lose the week by 1.2 points.
We played without a goalie when Bob went down Sunday before the playoffs started and of course, Reimer got knocked out the evening after we traded for him on deadline day Feb 22nd.
Then Mark Stone got knocked out along with Anisimov while Adam Boqvist got concussed, came back then got concussed again in the same week.
Nuts! But what a great start to my ownership in this league. Can't wait for more action in the coming months.
-
I also looked back at all the deadline deals I made and I have to say in hindsight, the deals definitely benefitted my team. Even the deal where I moved Monahan for Reimer, Boqvist, that netted my Canes more points then if I stood pat. Good learning experience for next season.

For good measure, I thought I should document this off Fantrax.
