Some teams have players who were drafted in recent drafts who have remained overseas. These teams still hold their rights for when they eventually come over to the NBA. If you would like to add any of these players to your G-League, please post here.

This is only to claim draft rights on players overseas. G-League players on your team's G-League affiliate are not eligible to be claim and will instead be in FA.

For example, my Hornets have S Arnoldas Kulboka drafted in the 2018 draft still playing in Lithuania. I do not opt to keep his rights.

I'd be looking for 1 or 2 other people that would help to process moves, keep the rookie drafts running.

I might be looking for 6 other GMs to be on trade committee. Or we go with no trade committee and just make the entire league able to vote on trades and post a reasoning behind a veto.

Free Agency will be year round except for the playoffs.  To be clear, this means FA is from the time it opens (a little bit after the rookie draft each year) till our playoffs start. FA doesn't open up as soon as the playoffs end.

Any player released or not resigned will be available for FA.

Bidding will be done in the transaction board and it is in terms of total contract value. Once you are the high bidder for 48 hours you will win the said player. After winning the player you have 72 hours to post the contract that abides by the Contract rules.

Bids less than $10m must be increased by at least $0.5m. Bids higher than $10m must be increased by at least $2m.

Starting with 2021 off-season, Bids less than $9.9m must go by $0.5m minimum, Bids between $10m-$49.9m must go up by $2m, Bids between $50m-$99.9m must go up by a minimum of $5m, and Bids $100m+ must be $10m increases

At no time may the team go over the cap. So if you have 2m in space you are not allowed to have bids that total more than 2m at any point.

At NO TIME may you edit a bid after it has been posted. If you edit a bid, it will be invalid.

*If you sign someone in FA to a 1 year deal, they will be ineligible for extension the next season and will automatically be a FA. This is done to prevent someone from signing a player in FA to a big 1 year deal and then get cheaper extension the next season.


If a player is an RFA then bidding will be done for the said player. The team who currently owns the player does not need to bid. Once the high bid stands for 48 hours the owning team has the option to match the offer. If they match it, they keep the RFA for that cost. If they do not match it, the RFA then goes to the winning bid. The team will have 24hrs to match the offer or the player is lost.

An RFA may be extended before Feb. 1 of the last year of the contract. When extending an RFA you multiply is extension salary by 1.2 resulting in his salary.

In RFA, if a player is not bid on, they may be signed to the league minimum of $0.4m for 1 or 2 years or they can be released to FA.

RFA rights on a player can be traded up until the start of RFA. Once RFA starts, you cannot trade the RFA rights.
