The Ducks confirm this trade.

The Ducks give up a lot in a Top 5 or Top 10 caliber starting goalie such as Anderson but with his age there is no guarantee how much longer he will be playing or continue to perform as a top goalie. Therefore I wanted to trade him and his high salary now and get something in return and not wait and see how much longer he plays and get nothing back.

TJ Oshie has a new home with the Ducks not having many RW's to begin with and hopefully can continue producing points staying in Washington. Lack is probably a backup goalie unless he is given an opportunity to start depending on how him and Smith perform for the Flames. However Lack even as a backup has the ability to still put up stats. The 1st round pick adds to the other 1st rounder's we have or hopefully get (Ducks/Hurricane trade)

I approve this trade. Isles get a great goalie in Anderson who continues to produce despite his age and the ducks get a lesser goalie who may be a fringe starter, a great skater in Oshie, and 1st rounder which will help them build for the future.
