Title: Minor league graduates
Post by: snugerud on March 13, 2017, 12:26:04 PM
If you guys want to hold off on posting your graduates,,, when the season roles over there is an option to set minor league eligibility to 40 games played in fantrax  (its a premium function but its free until the season starts.)

After that it will show all players in your minors with over 40 games played as a roster violation.  that way no one has to guess who will be over or under.  We can use that to make the graduations.

just a option, rob can override me on this if he prefers to do them now. I know how anal he is..ha ha.

Rob will also have to determine all the players that are on NHL rosters and went over 40 games played. So your way wouldn't necessarily find all the players that have exceeded the 40 game limit.

Also if players are in the minors and go over 40 games played they can remain in the Minors and don't need to be called up to the NHL rosters.

Thats true for the roster players didnt think of that one.
I am pretty sure he audits the minors and automatically graduates guys that are over 40 games in the off season.

From the league rules:

Minor League Roster Eligibility
A player must have less than 40 NHL games played to be eligible for the minor league roster.  Any eligible player may be placed in the minors at any time.  If a player in the minors goes over the limit he may remain in the minors until you decide to call them up.

Thats the reason that Gormley can still be on your Minors Roster.

I do audit them - but only to update the contracts to the 2 year deal - not to move them from your minors.
