CBJ is on a cliff. We are close but are we close enough? Losing A blue liner like Morrissey is rough but we need more depth so adding another D-man in Nemeth who is more of a stay at home guy than a puck handler dosent fill the void left by Morrissey but leaves us still a D-man short. The Addition of Batherson is what we are looking at in filling that point differential Between Nemeth And Morrissey. Batherson has some I’s to dot and T’s to cross in the AHL, hoping he gets a call up just before mid season. As for the 2nd CBJ has a re tooling going in the MILR shedding players that didn’t meet the franchise direction this off season. Thanks for the talks Halo!

Carolina Confirms

It's a short sighted deal with Morrissey due an expensive extension at year end. Batherson will be up and producing sooner rather than later most likely but I feel like by the time he gets to where he needs to be Carolina will be in full rebuild mode. Ottawa will probably keep him and Brown down this year so they don't ruin the kids with all the losing that's going to take place in Ottawa
