Strange headline indeed, but three NFL teams from the South all had huge points differentials in their victories today.
The biggest of the games is
Atlanta's 34-0 victory over the
New York football Giants. This was a big game to prove the doubters wrong about Falcons football, but most will point out the inconsistency of the Coughlin-led Giants franchise. Still, it was a major win and a nice revenge victory after New York beat them 24-2 in last year's playoffs.
Meanwhile, lowly
Miami trounced all over
Jacksonville 24-3 to give their fans hope for next year. Warning label - these Jags are bad!
Finally,
New Orleans showed its offensive might by putting up 41 points on :TAM: Tampa. The Bucs are essentially eliminated from the playoffs now in what has become a disappointing past few weeks for them. The story though is the shutout the porous Saints defense held against the Bucs as they win 41-0 and have their first shutout at home in over 20 years.
