As another owner mentioned, given this is to be implemented in 2021-22, we have this entire off-season plus the upcoming season to acclimatize to the new reality of the increase in skater extensions recently introduced. Chicago management is interested in testing out this small reduction in the cap ceiling and if needed, we would vote to reverse this change if we determine by the Spring of 2022 that it negatively impacts FNHL as a whole and the majority of franchises to be competitive.

I'll give this a shot. Interested in seeing what happens when we do a small rollback. Honestly doubt much impact.

Great to see everyone's active on this vote. :iatp::toast: When the owners decide to better manage finances and give the cap a chance to actually manage how teams are run instead of throwing profit back into an excuse to raise the ceiling annually, it will create a better league and a more competitive one where every game is interesting right down to the last second of the final game of the regular season. :winner:

I think going with a start date of 2021-22 to rollback gives owners a chance to make adjustments. The expansion draft next summer will also take some cap off the hands of teams and should balance things out IMO.

  • Braves155: My issue in LIVE currently is having Strider/Alcantara/Giolito all on the long shelf, so I am more retooling than rebuilding
    Today at 02:46:48 PM
  • Daddy: Also agreed. Top quality pitching probably means not much depth. A few injuries can challenge you. Pitching other than top end pitching has been devalued in fantasy. Everyone wants the stud.

  • Daddy: I here to tell you that ALL major league pitching is good pitching. A great hitter beats a terrible pitcher just 3 out of 10 times. Which means the worst pitchers > the greatest hitters.

  • Braves155: With regard to pitching in the Minors...there is  method to the madness. It is all about what you make of it tho. I agree that it can seem certain type arms in the minors are a dime a dozen
