Anaheim and New York Mix it Up
« on: May 31, 2012, 01:02:21 PM »
To New York Rangers
P.A. Parenteau, $2.8m (2012-13)
Steve Kampfer, $0.9m (2012-13)

To Anaheim Ducks
Charlie Coyle, $0.2m (2013-14)
Alex Tanguay, $3.5m (2013-14)
Stanislav Galiev, N/C (0 games)

First off dealing Parenteau was painful after the season he just had but I was stacked at RW with Perry, Hemsky and Pavelski so 1 was expendable. Gary was very persistent in getting him and this is what we came up with. I've long been trying to bolster some youth and with Coyle and Galiev I think this helps a lot  in that aspect. I ONLY take Tanguay for cap purposes as I obviously didn't want him BUT in order to balance this he was needed.

Great dealing with you Gary and great back and forth for a few days.

First Off, a real education thanks to Beantown(and I mean that with the upmost respect).
I knew what I needed and I was able to fullfil that need. It cost me 2 prospects which was difficult to part with. I was able to obtain a young D-man as well in the process. Hopefully this will benefit both teams. No change in Cap, but both sides are tight in this respect. All in all, it was great working with BeanTown.
Thank You,
Gary

i approve this trade because NYR got what he needed and since RW are hard to get  it give's a plus here for me . but i have to give this one to ANA ... he get's a player that will help him this year and 2 great prospect in Charlie Coyle and Stanislav Galiev they finished the playoff in the QMJHL tied for 1st with 34 points in 17 games so the future looks bright in ANA
