Free Agency & Waivers Close Tonight

They will close tonight. No new players will be able to be bid on but bidding will continue at as normal until the current players are won.

Players can not be placed on waivers either after tonight.

The deadline is 8:00pm EST tonight (Feb. 7).

I thought FA was done at 8pm EST unless there was a bid in the last hour? Just checking.

The date for free agency deadline is available in the deadlines forum. The deadline is closed at the time specified. Any player who has been bid on in the hour leading up to the deadline will enter into a 6 hour period of bidding. For every bid during this period the clock on these players will be reset for 6 hours. No other players can be bid on after the deadline has pasted only 6-hour blocked free agents.

This definatley needs to be discussed during the off season!!

Im not sure how I missed this but I guarentee I would have NEVER made that trade with Detroit if I had read that IR replacements wouldn't be able to be called up...whatever little chance I had is totally gone for the year !!

Im not whinning, just expressing my frustration or maybe Gilly just needs to read the rules, haha!!

I don't think this affects IR replacement moves. I could be wrong, but I didn't read that anywhere in this topic. I think the part about not being able to waive player(s) just refers to waiving any regular player with a 2011-12 that isn't an IR player.

Ahh, I see. I didn't see that either. Guess that makes my last transaction invalid. Oh well.
