I wasn't sure what to do since I'd like to sign him to a PC if possible?  I was waiting for one of you to respond to tell me what to do, lol!  If there's no such thing as signing a player to a direct PC then I will bid $800k as that's his current salary (as far as I can tell).

No there is no direct PC contract, you decide that based on the bid. You can bid half his salary and then sign him after it goes through to a 2 way contract by adding $0.5m to his final contract.

So if you end up winning him with the bid of $0.8m, you could sign him at $0.4m per year for 2 years plus a $0.5m per year 2 way fee for a "PC" of $0.9m per year.

Hopefully this makes sense.
