Trade Deadline - Trades that Changed the League 2014

Which trades from the deadline changed the league the most?

Personally I think the Luongo trade makes Boston quite a bit better but also Halak got traded so he has to take the reigns in Washington or else it is a wash.

Another trade is the move of St. Louis, I think St. Louis will be the same player but now Purcell will play with Stamkos and possibly get a jump and players like Richards and Nash will see a bump.

Also anyone that owns a Vancouver Canucks will see a slight decline. They will now undoubtedly see an increase in their minuses and goal scoring was hard for them to begin with now that D. Sedin is out for the season (unconfirmed).

I like the moves of Miller and Markstrom for Pitts. Miller in particular.

Anything involving goalies will have an impact, definitely.

I think Boston is the big winner this deadline - Lack getting crowned the starter in Vancouver, Halak getting the chance to reprove himself in Washington, and Lehner getting ready to take the reigns will keep his team stacked for a very long time. Lucky that both Lehner and Lack are on 2 way contracts, because he would have to move or lose someone with the goalie limit going down.

Berra's move to 3rd string in Colorado kind of hurt me; although it could help me in the long run as he will get some tutelage from Roy and Allaire.

Thomas moving to back up Dallas is probably the biggest shocker. Not gonna lie, it would of been a bigger shocker if he stayed in Florida with Luongo.

It looks like Enroth is going to run with the starter position in Buffalo with his 4 game win streak.

Lack getting crowned the starter in Vancouver

Oh really? Eddie-27-games-played-Lack has been crowned? With a .705 save percentage tonight and Markstrom not much better I'm betting Vancouver picks up a Veteran net-minder in the off-season. Not arguing that Boston has come out ahead....already mentioned as much elsewhere. But the idea that outside of about 10 elite goalies that anyone is "the starter" is kind of missing the platoon trend prevailing throughout many NHL franchises.

Since the trade Markstrom has played the same amount as Lack. Half a game! Hahaha......Lack got pulled after getting shelled and Markstrom came in.  Just sayin.
Anyway, I hear you but I've seen too many goalie changes to think that anyone has been anointed until they've held the crease for a few years in a row.
