The Ducks and Canadians owners have agreed to the following trade.

Ducks trades
Bryan Little, $5.7m (2015-2019)
Dustin Byfuglien, $7.1m (2016-2020)

For

Montreal Trades
Cody Eakin, $2.4m (2015-2018)
RW - Sebastien Collberg (2012: 2/33 - 0 Games)
Round 1 - 2017
Round 2 - 2017
David Clarkson, $0.2m (2016-2018)

Little and Byfuglien were not in our future plans so we are happy to send them off to their new team. The Ducks shed a lot of cap as well for the next few years.

Eakin still has potential to be a very good forward if he stays on the 1st or 2nd line for Dallas especially the 1st line. Collberg still has a lot of potential and is still young enough to play up to that potential if given the chance. The 2 picks are just icing on the cake as to replenish the Ducks lack of prospects. This would add another 2 picks to make 4 picks in the first 2 rounds which the Ducks definitely need to replenish the MiLR with some better prospects. Clarkson was just a throw in.

I hate losing, I have a fairly well stocked minors and have the cap space to take on both of these talented players.  Big buff is a top 5 d and little when not injured is a gifted forward.

Giving up youth and what I figure will be a mid round 1st and 2nd pick hurt but good needs trade for both.  I suspect clarkson will never be relevant again.

Was traveling earlier so I couldn't properly way in.
I think it's a good deal for both teams. I have made similar deals moving draft picks for proven albeit more expensive Vets.

The direction of the Canes is he is going to build a team of his own mold. Very respectable. I also tore up my inherited team to build the one I wanted.

Snugerud is a GM that wants immediate dividends and that's a model I also agree with so I like it both ways for both parties.

That's a tough deal for the Ducks but new owners want to change the chemistry of their team so let it ride. Good deal for Montreal but it eats up a chunk of cap space.

Montreal gets the best two players in the deal so Montreal wins the deal in my mind.

I understand what the Ducks are trying to do though. There definitely has to be strategy involved to manipulate the cap.

Only because this hurt the Ducks who cant afford to lose talent. Best skater goes for mid rd picks, Clarkson and Collberg is not coming back to NA anytime soon. Is this trade worth the cap for Anh? Thinking there's better deals out there for Anhie!

I will change my vote and abstain if Gr8O wants this so bad he blows his top.
