Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Flyers - Islanders Trade« on: July 09, 2011, 11:26:36 AM »
The Flyers and the rival Islanders have come to an agreement:
Islanders trade: LW James van Riemsdyk, $1.5m (2012-2013) D Andrew MacDonald, $0.6m (2013-2014) D Mark Fayne, $0.2m (2011-2012) Flyers trade: LW Ville Leino, $2.1m (2013-2014) D Niklas Kronwall, $3m (2011-2012) D Braydon Coburn, $3.2m (2011-2012) RW Andreas Nodl, $0.5m (P-2012) 3rd 2011 4th 2011 I do this deal to reacquire JVR. I think I made a mistake by trading him last year and I'm happy to get him back. I also wanted to reduce payroll. I'm really happy to add two cheaper D options and solidify my LW position. This deal gives me more flexibility for the FA market as well. Thanks Gilly for the great negotiations!! 643
Dynasty NHL: Archive / Salary cap concerns...« on: July 07, 2011, 10:10:34 PM »
I was looking at the available cap room for all the teams and I noticed the teams with the most cap room have between 20 and 30 mil to spend. I think 10 rounds of a contraction draft will be hard for most teams to fit players under their cap. I think 5 or 6 rounds would be more realistic to fit under the cap. If you figure a team with 20m in cap space with 10 rounds can pay an average of 2m per player in the draft. While it can be done its not likely for all teams to afford the players. I'm not saying I have the perfect solution but what is everyone's thoughts on this?

Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Flyers - Oilers rework trade« on: June 29, 2011, 09:36:12 PM »
Even though both of us feel we shouldn't have to the Flyers and Oilers agreed to rework the trade:
The Edmonton Oilers announce a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers: Oilers Send: LW Taylor Hall, $3.8m (2012-2013) G Nikolai Khabibulin, $1.7m (2013-2014) Flyers Send: G Sergei Bobrovsky, $0.1m (2011-2012) D Andrej Meszaros, $4m (2013-2014) G Michael Leighton, $1.6m (2011-2012) LW Jody Shelley, $1.1m (2012-2013) 2011 1st round pick I added in my 1st round pick and taken out Omark. Sizzrat and I are both happy with this deal. I get a good young LW and he gets a top scoring D and a young goalie that will be traded to another team and could be a franchise goalie for years to come. Oilers to confirm.....again. |
