Oilers trade:
C Jonathan Drouin, $2m (2021-2022)

for

Penguins trade:
D Erik Cernak, $3.5m (2021-2022)
X- 2021 1st Round Draft Pick, Pittsburgh, $m this year
$1.5m through 2021-2022

I am down a good producing center to be real competitive, so to get that I give up a young d-man and a 1st round pick.  I pay on the salary to keep the Oilers cap hit the same.

Drouin has had some injurry problems this season and I have the depth at C/LW that losing  him won't hurt too bad. I'm making this move to get some more depth at D and the draft pick doesn't hurt.

Move D Adam Pelech to LTIR
