Losing Jones sucks. lol  I think he has a chance to be a special player.  On the other hand, I have 4 or 5 former "Top 100" guys that haven't played like it yet.  So you never really know.  I think 3 young, cost controlled, players is fair compensation on a maybe.

It makes an already crowded MLB roster even more so, but that is shaping up to be a tomorrow problem.   I'll worry about tomorrow's problems,  tomorrow. lol

Nice back and forth discussions with the new GM in Cincy.    Best of luck with your rebuild.

Reds confirm.

Great trade talks with the Dodgers. I have been watching Spencer Jones and I really think he has a ton of potential. Especially since the Yanks weren't willing to trade him to get Cease or in the Juan Soto deal. I've been trying to figure out how to rebuild and had an idea that I can speed things up and compete in '25 but the reality is I think my window opens up in '26 or '27 so getting a stud to build around is better for me long term than having 2 good, but to me maybe not studly guys. I could be wrong though but that's the risk in trading.

Best of luck to the Dodgers as they compete this year. Really enjoyed the back and forth trade discussions and felt that it ended in a good place.

Veto. If Cincy wants to trade Morel for Jones that's cool but Crawford has some pretty serious dynasty value. Deal looks lopsided to me.

Since I am a part of the trade and there has been a veto called, the rules state that the other three trade committee members need to weigh in.

Twins and Athletics can you all review the deal and make a decision?

Right now it is 1-1.

All trades that are legal will be reviewed by the League for integrity. There is a 24-hour period to review that will begin when the last trade party has posted their reasoning for the trade.

I was referencing this section of the rules:

"All trades Vetoed by the Commissioners Office will be sent to the 5 member trade committee for a vote. All members of the trade committee must vote Yes or No within 48 HRS. Any trade receiving 3 Yes votes will be approved and executed.

If a member of the Trade Committee is involved in a vetoed trade then it requires 3 of the 4 remaining members to approve the trade."

So right now it is:

White Sox: Approval
Mariners: VETO
Twins:
Athetics:

Just looking at it from both perspectives.

I think dodgers are gaining a significantly better end here getting 2 mlb up players and a solid propsect for just one top mlb 100 ranked player.

For that reason alone and I dont see equal value going both ways. I too will need to veto. My suggestion would be to either reduce the amt the dodgers is getting or have dodgers send a bit more to reds to make this even

Probably would of asked for a few top 30 guys with Jones, but his potential warrants a strong return. I see two teams with different timelines making a fair trade.

The way I see it is both teams agreed to trade. I don't believe it is one sided. Both are getting who they want.
